Following an initial inquiry, could we quote for a bungalow loft conversion from plans already prepared by client’s architect? We often price from other people’s plans so happy to offer our services, a date was agreed to visit and chat over the plans plus to survey the property.
Whilst the architect had tried to follow the client’s directions many aspects had been overlooked included building regulations requirements and cost of the build. Once we had discussed exactly what the client required and how it could be built practically, we went back to the drawing board.
A redesign followed and further meetings. Once the client felt we were the contractor that she could trust terms were agreed.
The build was carried out following the post lock down of covid-19, so we carried out all measures to protect the client and our staff. This possibly meant more time on site but that was less important than everyone’s heath.
Final design was a flat roof dormer with picture widow and side facing glass sides.
The completed loft conversion looks stunning and was highly praised by building control the quality of work.
